Specialist - Research & Thought Leadership Content

Location- Gurgaon, India (JTG HQ — Udyog Vihar, Phase 5) | Work from Office

Reports To- Senior Specialist – Sales & Strategy

Employment Type- Full-time

Experience- 5–7 years in content, research, journalism, or communications in a B2B / tech domain

About Josh Technology Group (JTG)

Josh Technology Group is a 16+ year old product engineering company with 300+ engineers across 20+ countries. We de-risk technology for businesses through AI-accelerated, outcome-accountable delivery — not staff augmentation. We have delivered 100+ projects across Healthcare, EdTech/HR-Tech, FinTech, Transport, and Emerging Tech verticals, primarily for North American and European clients, with a client retention rate of over 90%.

As JTG invests in building its brand with PE/VC firms, enterprise buyers, and startup founders in Western markets, we are building an in-house thought leadership engine — grounded in real delivery experience and domain depth, not generic content.

Role Overview

Think of this role as an embedded journalist inside a technology company — except your stories build pipeline, not just readership.

The Research & Thought Leadership Lead will sit inside JTG’s business, attend leadership discussions, absorb what is happening across client engagements, industries, and the market — and turn those raw signals into published thought leadership that positions JTG and its leadership as credible, insightful voices in Healthcare, EdTech, and product engineering globally.

You will attend the weekly leadership meeting, listen for problem statements, delivery learnings, client challenges, and market observations — and then go away, research deeply, and come back with a crisp article, POV, or whitepaper that can be published in the name of JTG, Pod.AI, or one of its Co-Founders and Advisors. The best content will not read like a sales brochure — it will read like something a smart practitioner would actually want to read.

This role reports into the Senior Specialist – Sales & Strategy, who will direct topics, align content with active commercial priorities, and review output before publication.

Key Responsibilities
Embedded Research & Intelligence
  • Attend the weekly JTG leadership meeting as the designated content listener — capturing problem statements, delivery insights, client challenges, market observations, and strategic priorities as raw material for content.
  • Conduct deep, independent research on the topics surfaced in leadership discussions — industry trends, regulatory developments, technology shifts, competitive dynamics, and real-world case evidence — to build a well-grounded point of view.
  • Research target industries and verticals (Healthcare, EdTech/HR-Tech, FinTech, Tech GCC/IT-ITES) to develop a running knowledge base that informs content quality and relevance.
  • Research potential client companies, PE/VC portfolio firms, and technology leaders that JTG targets commercially — understanding their business context to make content resonate with the right readers.
  • Monitor the broader ecosystem — competitor content, industry publications, LinkedIn discourse, analyst reports — to ensure JTG’s content is differentiated, not derivative.
Content Creation & Publishing
  • Write thought papers, articles, points of view, and opinion pieces grounded in JTG’s delivery experience and domain knowledge — to be published on JTG’s website, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Draft executive ghostwritten content — LinkedIn posts, long-form articles, op-eds, conference abstracts, and panel talking points — on behalf of JTG’s Co-Founders and Advisors, capturing their authentic voice.
  • Maintain a content calendar in coordination with the Senior Specialist – Sales & Strategy, ensuring a steady cadence of publishing (target: at least one substantive piece every 3–4 weeks) aligned to commercial priorities.
  • Convert client engagement learnings and anonymised case study insights into externally shareable content without breaching confidentiality.
  • Write in multiple formats and lengths as the need arises — a 300-word LinkedIn post, a 1,500-word industry article, or a 4,000-word whitepaper — with equal comfort.
  • Ensure all published content passes a simple test: would a PE partner, a startup CTO, or an enterprise technology buyer find this genuinely useful? If not, rewrite.
  • Work closely with the Senior Specialist – Sales & Strategy to align content themes with live deals and target account strategies — the right article at the right time can open a door that a cold email cannot.
  • Coordinate with JTG Co-Founders and Advisors to gather quotes, POVs, and authentic leadership perspectives that elevate content quality.
  • Track content performance (LinkedIn engagement, website traffic, inbound leads attributed to content) and share insights to continuously improve topic selection and format.
  • Maintain a well-organised content repository — drafts, published pieces, research notes — that can be referenced and repurposed across the team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in content writing, research, journalism, or communications — with meaningful B2B technology exposure.
  • Exceptional command of written English — the ability to write with clarity, precision, and a distinct voice across formats and audiences. This is the single most important skill for this role.
  • Strong storytelling instinct: the ability to take a dry technical or business topic and turn it into something genuinely compelling to read.
  • Solid research skills — comfortable synthesising information from analyst reports, industry publications, academic papers, and primary conversations into a coherent, well-evidenced point of view.
  • Good working knowledge of the technology and product engineering landscape — enough to write credibly about AI adoption, legacy modernisation, cloud engineering, Healthcare tech, or EdTech platforms without needing everything explained.
  • Experience producing content for B2B audiences — particularly senior corporate, investor, or founder readership.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where content priorities can shift based on what is happening in the business that week.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills — able to extract insights from leadership conversations and translate them into publishable content.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Preferred / Good to Have
  • Prior experience in a B2B technology company’s content/communications function, a tech-focused publication, or a management consulting firm’s knowledge/content team.
  • A portfolio of published articles, whitepapers, or thought leadership pieces in tech, business, or policy domains.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn as a B2B content platform — understanding of what performs and why.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare technology, EdTech, FinTech, or the Indian IT/GCC market.
  • Familiarity with SEO basics and content optimisation for online publishing.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
  • A published cadence of high-quality thought leadership — at least one substantive article or whitepaper every 3–4 weeks — consistently building JTG’s and its leadership’s visibility on LinkedIn and the JTG website.
  • Content that is visibly aligned to commercial priorities — at least one piece directly contributes to opening a sales conversation or supporting an active deal.
  • The Co-Founders and key Advisors have an active, credible LinkedIn presence powered by content this person creates.
  • A well-maintained research and content library that the wider Sales & Strategy team draws on regularly.
  • Feedback from the Senior Specialist and Co-Founders that the content reads like a practitioner wrote it— not a marketer.
