Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Content Specialist to manage end‑to‑end content products with a focus on Public Records and Dockets. You will oversee cross‑functional projects, mentor staff, and drive standardization while supporting a 24/7 coverage model through rotating shifts.

You will apply your strong HTML/XML, UNIX, and scripting skills to ensure data integrity, train new hires, and optimize workflows across multiple content platforms such as GCS, Alloy, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • 1.5+ years of relevant experience in Content Moderation and knowledge of HTML/XML, UNIX and Linux scripting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Content Operations publishing systems/applications for Public Records and Dockets.
  • Excellent communication for collaboration and reporting.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with UNIX, scripting, and tools like SharePoint, JIRA, and content platforms.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification is a plus.

Job description

The Content Specialist is responsible for managing and delivering high-quality content products end to end. The role requires deep domain expertise in Public Records and/or Dockets, and advanced technical proficiency (XML, UNIX, scripting, Python). The role involves managing multiple system platforms: GCS, Alloy, Unix/Linux, LTC, Novus, ERD, People Warehouse, Company Warehouse, EDD.
As a Content Specialist, you will lead/ drive workflow and project responsibilities, mentor the team, drive standardization and process excellence, and support a 24/7 coverage model with rotational shifts and work weeks.

About the Role:
  • Lead or manage departmental and cross-functional project teams for effective product lifecycle management.

  • Ensure integrity and completeness of work products and product databases across all assigned workflows/ tasks.

  • Demonstrate expertise in team and adjacent workflows; consult on tactical and strategic initiatives.

  • Drive/ participate in standardization, cost savings, and process efficiencies through Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

  • Serve as an escalation point for multiple workflows/ tasks and provide expert-level support. Troubleshoot complex issues related to content conversion, workflows, and system/data integrity.

  • Design and deliver robust training programmes, verify the work of others, and support new hires/ less experienced staff as they ramp up to proficiency.

  • Conduct process audits and contribute to root-cause analyses to resolve bottlenecks and improve KPIs. Participate in enhancement projects, testing, and implementation of new systems or processes.

  • Utilize technical expertise to navigate, troubleshoot and operate various applications such as GCS, Alloy, LTC, Unix/Linux Novus, People Warehouse, Company Warehouse, etc.

About You
  • Experience Required : More than 1.5 years of relevant experience in Content Moderation along with knowledge of HTML XML, UNIX and Linux Scripting.

  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of diverse Content Operations publishing systems/ applications, particularly for Public Records and Dockets content.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and reporting.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements.

  • Strong technical proficiency in UNIX, scripting, and familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, JIRA, and content publishing platforms.

  • Strong understanding of global workflows and process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma certified preferred).

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex data and system issues.

  • Ability to contribute/ drive training programmes and process documentation reviews, and mentor new hires/ less experienced staff.

  • Preferred Technical Skills: Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX); Programming (C, C++, C#, .NET); Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MS Access); Web Technologies (XML, HTML); Tools (Mainframe, Power Automate, Smartsheet, JIRA, Power BI).

  • Must be open to rotational shifts (including night shifts) and rotational work weeks (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday, Sunday-Thursday) to support 24/7 coverage.
