Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group is seeking a German Language Specialist to join our Corporate Actions team in Hyderabad. You will review German-language financial documents, extract relevant information, and enter data into our proprietary system with strict accuracy and timelines.

You will work with cross-functional colleagues, ensure terminology accuracy, and contribute to data quality improvements while supporting client queries and learning the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or related field.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
• Knowledge of Corporate Actions and capital markets.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain Corporate Actions data accurately within timelines.
• Review, interpret, and extract information from German-language financial documents.
• Ensure accurate interpretation of German financial terminology before updating the database.
• Review existing sources to ensure all relevant events are covered.
• Promote continuous improvement through data quality analysis.
• Highlight issues in real time when errors occur.
• Test new database releases and provide user feedback.
• Build knowledge of German market regulations and events.
• Complete daily updates of reports and production records.
• Research and respond promptly to client issues with high quality.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Act as buddy to support junior team members.
• Resolve client queries following the defined service flow.

Job description

The Corporate Actions team is responsible for the collection and maintenance of high-quality data across a wide range of financial markets and asset classes. The German Language Specialist will primarily handle Corporate Actions data for German-speaking markets.

The analyst will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting German-language financial information from defined public sources and contributors, and accurately entering the relevant information into the database using proprietary collection methodologies. This includes capturing improved information from German-language corporate announcements, stock exchange notices, regulatory filings, and other relevant sources.

The information is time-critical and must be processed within the defined timelines and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and maintain Corporate Actions data accurately and within the defined timelines using financial, technical, and German-language knowledge.
• Review, interpret, and extract relevant information from German-language financial documents, corporate announcements, stock exchange notices, and regulatory sources.
• Ensure accurate interpretation of German financial terminology and Corporate Actions information before updating the database.
• Review existing sources to ensure that all relevant events are covered as per the source audit file.
• Promote continuous improvement through research and analysis of queries and data quality issues, and find opportunities to improve work practices.
• Highlight issues or errors in real time, particularly when an error or warning message is received while crafting an event.
• Test new database or application releases, where appropriate, and provide guide user feedback.
• Build knowledge of regulations and market practices in German-speaking markets and market events to anticipate changes.
• Complete daily updates of reports, timesheets, and production reports.
• Research and respond promptly to client issues while adhering to quality standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Communicate optimally with all relevant interested parties.
• Act as a buddy and provide process support to junior team members.
• Resolve client queries in accordance with the defined service flow and methodology.

Education & Skills
