Job summary

Medico Hub in Khammam, Telangana invites a Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist to lead GI surgical care. You will conduct GI consultations, evaluate and operate on hepatobiliary/pancreatic diseases, and participate in emergency and routine surgeries.

The role demands MCh/DrNB in Surgical Gastroenterology or equivalent, with strong laparoscopic skills and experience in GI procedures. Immediate joining is preferred, with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• MCh / DrNB Surgical Gastroenterology is required.
• MS / DNB General Surgery with relevant advanced training may also be considered.
• Valid NMC / Telangana Medical Council Registration is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Surgical Gastroenterology OPD consultations.
• Diagnose and manage GI, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency GI surgeries as per expertise.
• Perform laparoscopic and open GI procedures.
• Manage conditions involving stomach, intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary tract.
• Evaluate patients for appropriate surgical intervention.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative care.
• Manage surgical emergencies and post-operative complications.
• Review and correlate imaging and diagnostic investigations.
• Coordinate with Gastroenterologists, Radiologists, Anaesthesiologists, Intensivists and other specialists.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgery, risks and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, operative notes and discharge summaries.
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements.
• Follow hospital, infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocols.
