Job description

Glocal Healthcare Systems Pvt Ltd has been set up to provide accessible and affordable healthcare on a sustainable basis to common people, mainly in rural India. Glocal has an ambitious target to set up about two thousand Rural Hospitals. The organization is a social entrepreneurship entity created to meet the unmet needs of the rural population of India.

Glocal has devised a rational, state of art system based on standardized diagnostic and treatment protocols that should be able to reduce the costs of healthcare to people by about half. Glocal has the target of setting up about 2000 hospital at Sub-District Level to make its vision a reality. Each Glocal Rural hospital will have an OPD with a MOT, an IPD with 30 beds, a eight bed Labor unit, a NICU, Two OTs, a Diagnostics unit having a Laboratory, X-Ray, USG etc. All the Hospitals will be air-conditioned and will provide Primary and Secondary treatment largely following WHO based protocols.

All Glocal employees will be highly trained in - Treatment protocols, usage of World class Electronic Medical records, Health records, etc along with suitable practice drills to ensure that they deliver proper treatment using latest approved protocols.

In order to run these hospitals effectively and efficiently, an electronic backbone along with standardized protocols is necessary. It is essential to bring together the best of Human Resources, IT, Infrastructure planning & implementation, systems, supply chains, medical research, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, epidemiology, finance, hospital administration, medical ops, skill development, health Insurance etc to create a system that can do all this and still remain sustainable business-wise.

Job Description

• Pre and post op preparation and follow up of all cases.
• Management of complications.
• Share relevant knowledge, skill and expertise with surgical, medical and nursing staff concerning their scope of practice and standards for good, professional practice.
• Advise on relevant administrative duties such as patient charting, recording and reporting of data, clinic and/or facility management, and coordination of specific educational programs.
• Assist in the provision of 24-hour, six-day hospital service and surgical care, which may occasionally require evening or night duties.
• Advise nursing staff on care of critically ill, post-op surgical patients.
• Advise on continuing professional development and medical education opportunities, including skills in in-service presentations and research methods.
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards.
• Assist/train the surgical/anaesthesia team to identify and report any problems which may interfere in the delivery of services or in achieving improved patient outcomes.
• Assist the surgical/ anaesthesia team in improving the surgical and anaesthesia departments’ administrative and human resource functions which will lead to improved patient outcomes.

Train newly joined members in Anaesthesia and other relevant surgical / emergency procedures.

Ability & competency to perform the following

Haemorrhoidectomy, Fissurectomy and fistulectomy; Surgery for Hydrocele (jaboulays & lords procedure), orcidopexy and circumcisionm; Herniotomy, Herniorhaphy and Hernioplasty for Inguinal, femoral, Incisional, umbilical and praumblical hernia. Appendectomy and Appendicular abscess drainage
Cholecystectomy with or without CBD Exploration. Exploratory laparotomy for perforation peritonitis and intestinal obstruction with or without resection and anastomosis of bowel. Exploratory laparotomy for hemoperitonium with or without splenectomy. Right or left hemicolectomy or total colectomy for tumour, tuberculosis or intraluminal bleed with end to end anastomosis with or without Endo GI staplers.Incision and drainage of Abscess. Lumpectomy for benign breast lump. Modified radical mastectomy. Abdominal hysterectomy.
Surgery for tubo-ovarian mass. Pyelolithotomy, cystolithotomy and suprapubic cystostomy. Transurethral and Transvesical prostatectomy.
Tracheostomy and Intercostal tube drainage. Emergency craniotomy.
Amputation of Limb, finger or toes. Skin grafting. Upper and lower GI Endoscopy. Vagotomy with pyloroplasty or gastrojejunostomy.
Enterocutanous ostoma formation for feeding or diversion.
Excision of lipomas, sebaceous cyst, fibroma, ganglion, lymphnode etc.
Excision of neck swellings (Thyroglossal cyst and fistula, branchial cyst and Fistula and lymphadenopathy). Thyroid surgery (total or hemithyroidectomy) with or without modified radical neck dissection)

Experience: Atleast 2 years work experience post qualification

Ability to perform Laproscopic Surgery will be an added advantage.

Salary Band: Rs. 80,000 to Rs.1,20,000 on CTC Basis. Apart from salary doctors are provided with free furnished accommodation.
