Job summary

Blue Altair in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Apigee Developer/Sr. Consultant to lead API design, development, and deployment. You will work on API proxies, security, and performance, coordinating with clients and BA teams.

The role involves hands-on API architecture discussions and delivering API solutions in hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of API management experience, Apigee/GCP certifications, and strong programming skills in JavaScript/Java/Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of API management software experience.
• Apigee or GCP certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on API proxy development and unit testing on Apigee.
• Design API interfaces and API strategy using API-First approach.
• Configure and deploy APIs on cloud/on-premises hybrid environments.
• Implement API security using Apigee policies and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with BA/stakeholders during requirements and design phases.
• Enable CI/CD for API deployment using Jenkins, Maven, Grunt.

Title: Consultant/ Sr. Consultant: Apigee Developer

Experience : 3- 5 Years
Location: Mumbai

• Hands-on experience in front-end technical architectural and design discussions with clients for building APIs on Apigee platform.
• Experience in designing API strategy and best practices for building APIs.
• Comfortable understanding business requirements and designing API Interfaces using API-First approach.
• Hands-on experience designing the API Proxy flow and configuration for deploying on an Apigee Platform on cloud/on-prem.
• Responsible for developing and unit testing API proxies as per the design.
• Experience in reviewing API implementations done by other team members.
• Experience in supporting and/or executing integration and performance testing of APIs.
• Experience in designing Apigee platform architecture for high availability and scalability.
• Experience in designing and implementing API Security for APIs using in-built Apigee policies.
• Experience in designing and setting up CI/CD processes for API deployment on Apigee using Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, etc.
• Responsible for setting up Apigee on SaaS/Op-premise/Hybrid setup.
• Experience developing and deploying APIs on iPaaS/SaaS cloud platforms.
• Experience providing guidance for automated testing of APIs using commonly available API testing frameworks.
• Good to have experience building assets and accelerators using Apigeethat can be used for client projects.
• Nice to have experience on JavaScript/Python/Java.
• Good to have experience working with RFPs/proposals.
• Experience of API Platform and automation tool selection is a plus.
• Good to have experience working closely with Business Analyst during the initial stages of project requirement and design.
• Good to have knowledge/hand on Cassandra, Hadoop/MapReduce, Mongo DB.
• Good understanding and experience in HTTP/HTTPS protocol, web services, and use of web servers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some level of experience in Stakeholder communication and status reporting.

Education and experience required:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or relevant experience.
• Over 2 years of experience in API management software.
• Apigee or GCP certification is highly desired.
• Must have at least one end to end project hands-on experience developing and deploying APIs/API Products in Apigee API Management platform - including design, development, testing, and publishing to the API developer portal.
• Experience in Onsite / offshore model.
