Job summary

Vrac Global Services in India is seeking an experienced Power BI specialist to design and deliver end-to-end BI solutions. You will own data modelling, report development, performance tuning, and stakeholder collaboration across projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on BI experience, strong DAX, SQL, Python, and expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and data engineering concepts. Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience including Power BI Desktop, Service, and Report Builder.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric and Data Engineering concepts including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, Semantic Models, Spark Notebooks, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and Python for data transformation, modelling, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience in dashboard development, data visualization, UI/UX design, intuitive layouts and executive dashboards.
• Experience with Power BI performance optimization and development tools: VS Code, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit.
• Solid understanding of enterprise data modelling, dimensional modelling, and semantic layer design.
• Experience in developing BI solutions from scratch: requirements, data integration, modelling, report development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Experience in production support and maintenance of BI solutions: troubleshooting, performance tuning, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management, requirements analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment management for Power BI including Deployment Pipelines and Agile practices using Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Strong prompt engineering skills to leverage AI for analytics development.
• Experience managing tickets, change requests, and incidents through ServiceNow.
• Excellent technical documentation, communication, and presentation skills.

Job description

Must have:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Builder.

• Strong prompt engineering skills and the ability to leverage AI capabilities to improve analytics development and productivity.

Nice to have

• Finance domain experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Cost Management, Cost Control, Project Cost Management, or Project Financial Management processes.
• Understanding of project financial concepts, including Budget, Actual Cost, Forecast, Commitments, Cost Variance, and Revenue reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as PL-300, DP-600, or other relevant Azure and Microsoft Fabric certifications.

Work experience: 8 10 years

Data-related projects: 5 years minimum
