GlobalLogic Inc. is hiring a Consultant with Python and React + TypeScript expertise to build AI-assisted capabilities in a healthcare EMR platform. You will work on Python microservices and a React frontend, integrating large language models with clinical data under regulatory constraints.

Responsibilities include FastAPI services, TypeScript UI, LLM integration, and observability. Candidates should have 10–15 years of software experience and strong Git/GCP workflow skills.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in Python 3.
• 4+ years in React with TypeScript.
• Production experience with FastAPI, Pydantic and pytest.
• Experience with Redis for session or cache state.
• PostgreSQL and schema migrations (Flyway).
• GCP, GitLab MR workflow, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry).

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain Python microservices with FastAPI and Pydantic models.
• Develop React micro-frontends in an Nx monorepo using TypeScript.
• Integrate LLMs with structured outputs and tool calling.
• Design evaluation harnesses for LLM behavior and regression tests.
• Manage session/cache state with Redis in a multi-tenant setup.
• Work with FHIR/Medplum, HTTP/gRPC services, and database schemas.
• Enable observability with logging and metrics; deploy via GitLab to GCP.

About the role

We are building AI-assisted capabilities into a healthcare EMR platform. You will work across Python microservices and a React micro-frontend, integrating large language models with clinical and operational data over FHIR and internal APIs, in a regulated environment where correctness, auditability, and PHI handling are first-class requirements.

What you will do

• Build and maintain FastAPI services with Pydantic v2 models, async I/O, and comprehensive pytest coverage.
• Build and maintain React micro-frontends in an Nx monorepo with TypeScript, including real-time UI driven by WebSocket or streaming events from backend services.
• Integrate LLMs: prompt design, structured JSON outputs, tool calling, and prompt versioning.
• Build evaluation harnesses for LLM behavior: golden fixtures, behavioral tests, and regression comparison across prompt and model changes.
• Manage session and cache state in Redis with tenant and organization scoping.
• Integrate with a FHIR R4 server (Medplum) and internal services over HTTP and gRPC, with retries, timeouts, and idempotency.
• Work with PostgreSQL, including schema migrations via Flyway.
• Add observability with OpenTelemetry, structured logging, and metrics for latency and LLM cost.
• Ship through GitLab merge requests and deploy to GCP.

Job responsibilities

• Required
  7-10 years of software engineering, with 5+ years in Python 3 and 4+ years in React with TypeScript.
• Production experience with FastAPI or an equivalent async framework, Pydantic, and pytest with async tests.
• Production experience with React, TypeScript, and a micro-frontend, including component testing.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-backed features: prompt engineering, structured outputs, function or tool calling, and systematic evaluation.
• Redis for session or cache state.
• Service-to-service integration patterns: HTTP clients, retries, timeouts, idempotent operations.
• PostgreSQL and schema migration tooling.
• Strong Git workflow and code review habits in a multi-service repository.
• Clear written communication, proactive status updates, and ownership of deadlines.
• Strongly preferred
  LiteLLM or another model gateway; direct experience with Anthropic or OpenAI APIs.
• WebSocket or server-sent-event streaming between backend and UI.
• gRPC and OpenTelemetry.
