Job summary

YASH Technologies, Inc. is seeking an OpenText UFT Automation Professional with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using UFT (QTP).

The role covers web, desktop, SAP, API, and enterprise applications, with emphasis on improving testing efficiency and reducing manual regression. The candidate will create automation frameworks using VBScript, analyze requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Java / Python / VB Script

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT/QTP for web, desktop, SAP, API, and enterprise applications
• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using VBScript, reusable functions, and data-driven approaches
• Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, functional, and integration test suites across releases
• Perform manual testing when required and support UAT
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using ALM/Quality Center, Jira, Azure DevOps
• Integrate UFT assets with test management tools for lab execution and reporting
• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and product owners to ensure test coverage and timely delivery

Job Summary

This role is responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts usingOpenText Unified Functional Testing(UFT).

The role focuses on improving testing efficiency, reducing manual regression effort, and ensuring software quality across web, desktop, SAP, API, and enterprise applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts usingUFT/QTPfor web, desktop, SAP, API, and enterprise applications.
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks usingVBScript, reusable functions, object repositories, descriptive programming, parameterization, recovery scenarios, and test data management techniques.
• Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, sanity, functional, integration, and end-to-end test suites across multiple application releases.
• Perform manual testing when required, including test case design, execution, defect validation, exploratory testing, and UAT support.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such asALM/Quality Center, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management systems.
• Integrate UFT automation assets with test management tools such asALM/Quality Centerfor test lab execution, result tracking, and reporting.
• Review test results, analyze failures, troubleshoot automation issues, and coordinate with developers and business teams for defect resolution.
• Maintain reusable test data, data-driven scripts, external data sources, and database validation checks usingSQLwhere applicable.
• Support test planning and collaborate with QA leads, developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers to ensure complete test coverage and timely delivery.

Additional Responsibilities

• Drive automation framework improvements and best practicesby optimizing reusable components, enhancing script reliability, reducing execution time, and ensuring maintainable coding standards across UFT automation suites.
• Support CI/CD and release validation activitiesby integrating automated test execution with build/release pipelines, coordinating regression runs, analyzing execution results, and providing quality sign-off inputs for production deployments.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or
• Bachelor's Degree Information systems required

Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. required
