Job summary

ERM in Bengaluru is seeking a Consultant M&A Value Creation to integrate ESG factors into transaction analysis and investment decisions. You will work within the Mergers and Acquisition service line under the Value Creation team, partnering with NA/EMEA stakeholders to turn ESG concepts into actionable financial insights.

This role focuses on developing and refining advanced financial models that incorporate ESG and sustainability metrics to support client engagements across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• An advanced degree (MBA) or professional designation (CFA) is preferred.
• Experience in financial modelling and valuation analysis.
• Direct exposure to due diligence or private equity transactions is desirable.

As a Consultant M&A Value Creation, you will support ERM’s global consulting delivery by integrating ESG factors into transaction analysis and investment decision-making. You will work within Mergers and Acquisition service line under Value Creation team, partnering with NA / EMEA regional stakeholders to turn complex and qualitative ESG concepts into actionable financial insights. This role is critical to ensure development and refinement of advanced financial models that incorporate ESG and sustainability metrics.

What will you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA) or professional designation (CFA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial modelling and valuation analysis, ideally within investment banking, strategy consulting, or transaction advisory roles.
• Direct exposure to due diligence, exit readiness assessments, or private equity transactions is highly desirable.
• Expert-level proficiency in Excel and financial modelling tools, with a proven track record of building complex models.
• Background in financial modelling and valuation with a deep passion for sustainability (e.g. climate, nature, employees’ wellbeing, sustainable revenue.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to convert qualitative ESG and sustainability insights into robust quantitative parameters.

• Data-Driven Insights: Develop actionable recommendations for clients by assessing how ESG elements influence financial performance and investment outcomes, tailored both to deal teams and CFOs of portfolio companies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with ERM advisory specialists and transaction teams to ensure a holistic approach in embedding sustainability into client business models.
• Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging trends, and market innovations in ESG and sustainability, ensuring that your models reflect the most current industry practices.
