Role Description

The Consultant Gynaecologist role at MediVaah is a full-time, on-site position based in Tiruvannamalai. The role involves providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gynecological and obstetric care, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Daily responsibilities include conducting antenatal and postnatal check-ups, managing high-risk pregnancies, performing gynecologic surgeries and procedures, and overseeing labor and delivery in coordination with the care team. The consultant will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, maintain accurate and timely medical records, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards. Additional duties include patient education, participation in clinical meetings, and contributing to the continuous improvement of care pathways within the MediVaah network.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and clinical decision-making, with the ability to manage complex cases safely and effectively.
• Advanced skills in Gynecology and Obstetrics, including routine and high-risk pregnancy care and management of gynecologic conditions.
• Proficiency in Gynecologic Surgery and general Surgery relevant to women's health, including operative and minimally invasive procedures.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (e.g., MD, DNB, MS) and valid medical council registration.
• Excellent patient communication and counseling skills, with a respectful, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a technology-enabled healthcare platform.
• Experience in hospital or clinic-based gynecological and obstetric practice; prior consultant-level experience is an advantage.
