Responsibilities

• Deliver GIS support across all WSP business sectors as needed.
• Help create efficient workflows to offer industry-leading, cost-effective services to our clients.
• Introduce innovative methods and spatial solutions leveraging GIS capabilities.
• Perform data manipulation, geospatial processing, and data cleansing, ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Conduct GIS mapping, analysis, data management, geoprocessing, and data visualization tasks.
• Assist in the design and development of the geospatial database.
• Assemble geographic datasets into an enterprise geodatabase.
• Aid teams in designing, coding, integrating, testing, and deploying custom GIS features, scripts, tools, and web applications to meet client needs.
• Prepare and coordinate work for GIS personnel based in the Middle East and abroad for both internal and external clients.
• Develop and uphold quality assurance on datasets and deliverables.
• Keep geospatial documentation, SOPs, best practices, and user guides current and accurate.
• Provide GIS technical guidance to junior GIS staff.
• Support the technical growth of the GIS team by sharing ideas and innovations.
• Pursue continuous professional development and stay informed about the latest GIS advancements.

Knowledge And Experience

• Experience in GIS domain for 6+ years. Consulting experience would be an added advantage.
• Core principles of GIS and data management.
• Advanced level of proficiency and experience in ESRI-based products and open-source products.
• Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Desktop, Geodatabases, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS etc.
• Understanding of feature stored in map and service layer in ArcGIS Online/Portal along with User/Group permission setup and configuration.
• Good experience in configuring and developing cross-platform web applications using Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder, Operation Dashboard, and Story Map, Power BI dashboard, Tableau visualizations etc.
• Experience in setting up mobile data collection using Collector for ArcGIS, Field Maps, Survey123.
• Experience working with almost all types vector and raster datasets.
• Understanding of relational databases and geodatabase design and development.
• Geospatial data processing and analysis with Python using ArcPy or open-source libraries.
• Identifying innovative solutions to problems and driving the development of the solutions.
• Customer-focused approach to quality and service.
• Proactive approach to developing new skills and keeping up to date with technology.
• Experience in creating support documentation relating to best practices, SOP, and user guides.
• Good knowledge of open-source GIS such as QGIS, OpenLayers, GeoServer, Leaflet, Mapbox, PostGIS & Google Map API.
