ERM’s Consulting Delivery Hub (CDH) in India seeks a Geology Consultant to deliver high-quality site investigations, groundwater assessment, remediation strategies and environmental consulting services. You will work with ERM colleagues across regions, contributing to complex projects and global delivery standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in hydrogeology or geology with groundwater contamination assessment focus.
  • 4+ years of consulting experience.
  • Experience in groundwater and contaminant transport modelling is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of remediation systems, project management, and regulations for contaminated land.

Responsibilities

  • Perform report writing, borehole logs, data entry, data modelling, and graphical presentation of data.
  • Ensure safety of team members during project operations.
  • Assist in the management of projects and client communications.
  • Produce environmental desk studies, site investigation and verification reports.
  • Assist in fee proposal preparation for future work.

Why this role matters?

As a Geology Consultant, you will support ERM's global Contaminated Site Management and Hydrogeology teams by delivering high-quality site investigation, groundwater assessment, remediation, and environmental consulting services. Working closely with ERM consultants, project managers, technical specialists, and client stakeholders across multiple regions, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex environmental projects. This role plays a critical part in providing technically robust assessments, supporting sustainable remediation strategies, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and enabling efficient global project delivery across ERM's environmental consulting portfolio.

What will you bring?
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in hydrogeology, geology or a related discipline with a strong ground/groundwater contamination assessment and remediation focus.
  • Experience in hydrogeology, and especially groundwater and contaminant transport modelling, would be an advantage, coupled with a strong desire to expand this area of expertise.
  • 4 years + consulting experience.
  • Knowledge/experience of remediation systems and techniques.
  • Knowledge/experience of project management.
  • Knowledge/experience of legislation, guidance and procedures with respect to the management of contaminated land.
  • Ability to independently summarize data for investigation reports.
  • Computer literacy, including proficient MS Office skills.
  • Strong initiative (self-starter), problem-solving and communication skills, and attention to detail and QA/QC.
  • Preferred qualification Previous experience in supporting investigation, risk assessment, or environmental assessment work with exposure to fieldwork supervision in an Environmental or Water Consultancy is preferred.
Key responsibilities
  • Perform assigned office duties, such as report writing, data entry, borehole logs, statistical analysis, data modelling, graphical presentation of data and field program cost estimating.
  • Ensure safety of team members during project operations.
  • Assist in the management of projects.
  • Produce environmental desk study, site investigation and verification reports.
  • Assist in fee proposal preparation for future work.
  • Coordinate and communicate with client representatives, subcontractors, and ERM employees.
