Job summary

Ramboll in India is seeking an Experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant to join our global Impact Assessment team. You will apply your EIA knowledge across energy, infrastructure, industrial, data centre and property sectors in Europe, collaborating with UK and Denmark teams from our India office.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, environmental sciences, earth sciences or a closely related environmental discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of experience on EIA projects.

Your new role :

You will bring your knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) into play as you participate with our European colleagues in conducting EIA's for a wide range of our projects across the energy, infrastructure, industrial, data centre and property sectors in Europe. In the energy sector as an example our work includes onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, carbon capture, storage & utilization, transmission and energy storage.

You will support our European projects and collaborate primarily with our experienced EIA departments in the United Kingdom and Denmark with all aspects of impact assessments. You will have a good understanding of the EIA process and relevant regulations, and you will have the opportunity to support projects at various stages in the project lifecycle from early-stage feasibility/risk appraisal, through EIA, to consent condition compliance. A structured in-house training and development program will provide this knowledge and help personal career development.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Supporting the United Kingdom and Danish teams with all aspects of impact assessment from Ramboll's office in India as parts of our EIA team.
• Identifying, reviewing, and summarizing relevant data.
• Identifying data gaps and planning data collection.
• Supporting with preparing reports in English.
• Supporting with applications for environmental permits for the European market.
• Assisting with coordinating inputs from internal teams and external specialists.
• Supporting senior consultants with project tasks and project management.
• Demonstrating the ability to present complex technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing so clients, regulatory agencies and legal groups can easily comprehend them is a key requirement.

These include the following Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, environmental sciences, earth sciences or a closely related environmental discipline
• 5 to 10 years of experience on EIA projects.
• Experience in the energy sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Preferred work experience with impact assessments either in industry or consultancy across the globe.
• Experience with adopting and applying national and international environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS, experience with field work and data analysis is beneficial.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting processes.
• Knowledge of sustainability/ and environmental management practices is beneficial.
• Experience supporting/leading project workstreams and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
