Ramboll India is seeking an Experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant to join our Growth in the Impact Assessment team. You will contribute to EIA studies for energy, infrastructure, industrial, data centre, and property projects across Europe, collaborating with UK and Denmark colleagues.

The role requires strong knowledge of EIA processes, national and international regulations, and the ability to present complex findings clearly to clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, environmental sciences, earth sciences or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience on EIA projects.
• Experience in the energy sector advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with national and international environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS; field work and data analysis beneficial.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting processes.
• Knowledge of sustainability/ environmental management practices beneficial.
• Experience supporting/leading project workstreams and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EIAs for projects across energy, infrastructure, industrial, data centre and property sectors in Europe.
• Support European projects and collaborate with UK and Denmark EIA teams.
• Present complex technical concepts clearly to clients, regulators and legal groups.
• Assist in early feasibility, risk appraisal, EIA and consent condition compliance.

Your new role :

You will bring your knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) into play as you participate with our European colleagues in conducting EIA’s for a wide range of our projects across the energy, infrastructure, industrial, data centre and property sectors in Europe. In the energy sector as an example our work includes onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, carbon capture, storage & utilization, transmission and energy storage.

You will support our European projects and collaborate primarily with our experienced EIA departments in the United Kingdom and Denmark with all aspects of impact assessments. You will have a good understanding of the EIA process and relevant regulations, and you will have the opportunity to support projects at various stages in the project lifecycle from early-stage feasibility/risk appraisal, through EIA, to consent condition compliance. A structured in-house training and development program will provide this knowledge and help personal career development.

Demonstratingthe ability to present complex technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing so clients, regulatory agencies and legal groups can easily comprehend them is a key requirement.

These include the following Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering,environmental sciences, earth sciences or a closely related environmental discipline
• 5 to 10 years of experience on EIA projects.
• Experience in the energy sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Preferred work experience with impact assessments either in industry or consultancy across the globe.
• Experience with adopting and applying national and international environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS, experience with field work and data analysis is beneficial.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting processes.
• Knowledge of sustainability/ and environmental management practices is beneficial.
• Experience supporting/leading project workstreams and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
