Job summary

Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital in Pallikaranai is seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to diagnose and manage acute and chronic skin, hair, and nail disorders.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/DNB/DDVL in Dermatology, Venereology Leprosy is required.
• Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
• 2–5 years of experience as a consultant Dermatologist in multispecialty settings; cosmetic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage skin, hair, and nail disorders in OPD and inpatient settings.
• Perform dermatological procedures including biopsies, cryotherapy, electrocautery, and lesion excisions.
• Provide cosmetic and aesthetic treatments such as peels, lasers, Botox, fillers, PRP, and skin rejuvenation.

Job Summary

Roles Responsibilities Diagnose and manage acute and chronic skin, hair, and nail disorders. Conduct comprehensive OPD consultations and provide inpatient dermatology care when required. Perform dermatological procedures, including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrocautery, and excision of skin lesions. Diagnose and treat conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, vitiligo, fungal infections, allergic skin diseases, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Evaluate and manage hair disorders, including alopecia and scalp diseases. Perform cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology procedures, including chemical peels, laser treatments, botulinum toxin (Botox), fillers, PRP, and skin rejuvenation (as per expertise). Perform dermoscopy and skin cancer screening where applicable. Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, skincare, preventive measures, and follow-up care. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management. Maintain accurate patient records, prescriptions, procedure notes, and clinical documentation. Ensure compliance with infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and NABH standards. Participate in CMEs, clinical audits, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical medical practices. Perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Director or Hospital Management.

Qualifications and Experience

Job Specification

• MBBS with MD/DNB/DDVL in Dermatology, Venereology Leprosy.

Registration

• Valid National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council Registration.

Experience

• Minimum 2 5 years of experience as a Consultant Dermatologist in a multispecialty hospital or reputed dermatology clinic. Experience in cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology is an added advantage.
