Job summary

TransUnion in Bengaluru is seeking a Sr Consultant, Analytics Consulting to lead credit risk analytics and modeling engagements from design through implementation and monitoring.

You will partner with clients to translate business challenges into data-driven recommendations, develop scorecards, and manage multiple workstreams in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

Team Overview

The Analytics Consulting Group partners with financial institutions and fintech clients to solve credit risk and lending challenges through advanced analytics and data-driven insights. The team delivers consulting, modeling, and portfolio management solutions that help clients improve business performance, optimize risk strategies, and drive growth. The existing team rolls up into a centralized GCC group that partners with various markets to provide niche and high-quality solutions.This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Lead credit risk analytics and modeling engagements from solution design through implementation and monitoring.
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Develop, validate, and monitor credit risk scorecards and other predictive models.
• Perform portfolio analytics, segmentation studies, and strategy assessments to improve business and risk outcomes.
• Manage multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Contribute to proposal development, solution design, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM discipline with 6+ years of analytics and modeling experience.
• Experience in credit risk modeling, scorecard development, model monitoring, validation, portfolio analytics, or risk strategy analytics.
• Strong understanding of lending products including credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, mortgages, or SME lending.
• Experience working consulting environment – dealing directly with clients or business stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL or similar analytical tools.
• Experience in predictive modeling, scorecard development, and portfolio analytics.
• Ability to work with large datasets and apply statistical techniques to solve business problems.
• Experience using analytical and reporting tools to generate actionable insights.
