Job summary

Orange Business in India is seeking a Consultant- Cloud to join our storage and backup automation team. You will work with NAS and SAN storage, design and troubleshoot backup jobs across Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware and UNIX, and coordinate with project teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will manage storage configurations, change requests, and incident responses, monitor service levels, and operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have NAS and SAN storage experience.
• Experience in designing and troubleshooting backup jobs across Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware and UNIX servers.
• Ability to configure backup policy for new clients and manage storage changes through change requests.
• Willingness to work off-peak hours for system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project low/high level design and scope for backup-related tasks.
• Troubleshoot backup jobs and monitor scheduled backups for success or failure.
• Configure backup policies for new clients and manage storage policy changes.
• Provide weekly progress reports and timely incident resolutions.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders on backup requirements.

About The Role

Job Description : Must have NAS and SAN storage experience which is mandatory. Work with Project team to prepare project low/high level design and scope and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers). Analyze backup software performance and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures Configure backup policy for new backup clients. Manage storage and backup policy changes through the change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. Involve in project team for backup requirements and provide progress status update on a weekly basis. Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. Manage and support Storage systems, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management, configuration management, provisioning, and zoning of new servers using SAN switches. Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems. Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement action plan when required. Expected to work during off-peak hours on system activities (e.g. patching, upgrade, plant shutdown) Identify, research, and resolve technical problems Be able to effectively operate within set guidelines, policies, procedures, and able to execute instructions with minimal supervision
