Job summary

Venus HR consultancy Limited seeks a Consultant Anesthetist for a 150-bed super & multi-speciality hospital in Bharuch & surrounding areas. You will administer anesthesia, provide perioperative medical care, and participate in pain management and emergency resuscitation.

The candidate should hold MBBS + MD/DNB in Anesthesiology with MCI/State registration and a minimum of 5 years post-MD experience in a multi-speciality setup, with ICU/trauma exposure desirable.

Qualifications

• MBBS + MD / DNB (Anesthesiology) from a recognized institution.
• Valid MCI/State Medical Council registration.
• Minimum 5 years post-MD experience in a multi-speciality setup.
• Exposure to ICU, trauma, and emergency care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and plan anesthesia.
• Administer General, Regional, or Local anesthesia safely.
• Monitor vital signs during surgery and recovery.
• Manage post-operative pain and critical care anesthesia cases.
• Respond to medical emergencies including cardiac arrests.
• Collaborate with surgeons and ICU teams for patient management.
• Maintain records of anesthesia and patient data.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment and drugs are ready for use.
• Supervise anesthesia technicians and junior doctors.
• Ensure compliance with NABH / JCI protocols.

Position Overview

The Consultant Anesthetist will be responsible for administering anesthesia and providing perioperative medical care to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. The role also involves pain management and participation in emergency resuscitation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and determine the best anesthesia plan.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia safely and effectively.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs during surgery and in the recovery phase.
• Manage post-operative pain and critical care anesthesia cases.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and ICU teams for patient management.
• Maintain proper records of anesthesia and patient data.
• Ensure all anesthesia equipment and drugs are maintained and ready for use.
• Supervise and mentor anesthesia technicians and junior doctors.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety and NABH / JCI protocols.

Qualifications & Experience
