Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Consultant to manage system operations, monitor incidents, and drive improvements. You will work closely with developers and engineers, ensuring rapid problem resolution while following incident and change management processes.

The role requires hands-on CI/CD tool proficiency, Linux/Middleware experience, and knowledge of DB2 or PostgreSQL. Agile/SCRUM and cloud/container familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge with CI/CD tool chains and related tooling.
• Proven hands-on experience with Linux OS and middleware management.
• Strong understanding of RDBMS such as DB2 or PostgreSQL.
• Nice-to-have: Agile/SCRUM and Cloud/Container exposure.

Responsibilities

• Operate systems and log problems accurately.
• Coordinate with third parties for rapid incident resolution.
• Monitor and analyze error sources to prevent recurrence.
• Keep stakeholders informed about incidents and resolutions.
• Follow incident/change management processes and best practices.
• Mentor associates and provide technical direction.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation of the system and record any problems that occur
• Ensure rapid problem resolution in close cooperation with participating third parties
• Proactively follow the solution progress of incidents
• Responsible for the monitoring and the analysis of possible sources of error
• Keep stakeholders up-to-date on system-relevant incidents
• Follow established processes such as Incident Management and Change Request Management
• Evangelize best practices and methodologies
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and procedures
• Cultivate relationships with developers, engineers, and other technology partners to understand their infrastructure needs and deliver solutions
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to associate team-members

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements :

• Expert knowledge and hands on experience with CI-CD tool chains. E.g. Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible etc.
• Expert knowledge and hands on experience with Linux OS
• Expert knowledge and hands on experience with Middleware Management. E.g. WebSphere, JBoss, MQ
• Good knowledge on RDBMS (DB2/PostgreSQL)

Nice To have :

• Experience of Agile/SCRUM way of working
