Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.
• Minimum 15+ years of diverse experience on high profile projects.
• Experience with RCC towers, residential and commercial complexes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare execution strategy by understanding stakeholder requirements.
• Monitor risk registers and assist in master scheduling with contractors & materials.
• Plan manpower and plant/machinery deployment; assist in technical evaluations.
• Optimise design-stage VE options to reduce cost without compromising safety and quality.
• Oversee site activities to ensure schedule, budget, and resources are aligned.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors and consultants.
• Control quality, safety, drawings, specs and compliance with codes.
• Lead regular progress reviews and inter-department coordination.

Role : Construction Manager

Function : Construction Management

Reports To : Project Manager

Role Objective:

Provides leadership in all aspects of Operations, Inter/Intra - department collaboration & conflict resolution, external coordination. Deliver project within timelines with high quality, compliance on safety and quality, budget, risk mitigation, innovation. Responsible for execution at multiple projects from start to handover, covering all aspects of project design, fabrication, production and installation. Ensure works are finished to desired quality standards, complying with timelines & budgeted cost norms.

Key Responsibilities

Initiation/Planning

• Prepare execution strategy for the project by understanding requirements of all stakeholders
• Prepare and monitor risk assessment register regularly for the project
• Assist project planning manager in making master schedule with schedule of contractors/materials/design drawings
• Prepare Manpower and P&M deployment schedule
• Assist Commercial / Procurement in technical evaluation of bidders
• Suggest different VE options at design stage to optimise cost without diluting quality and safety

Construction Management

• Monitoring all site related activities & ensuring the smooth execution as per project schedule with focus on optimum utilization of manpower, capital & materials
• Tracking project activities with key emphasis on HSE, quality, drawings, specifications, standards & codes; reviewing schedule & managing budget for cash flow requirements
• Coordinating with site engineer, supervisor, contractor and consultant for daily work progress and resolving bottlenecks
• Monitoring the progress & quality control during execution, evaluate construction progress & team performance
• Close monitoring of schedule of contractors / material to make sure that these are available on site at right time and with right resources
• Close monitoring of progress with respect to yearly AOP and advise Project Manager if any corrective actions are required
• Organize regular progress review meeting with all contractors to assess overall progress , quality and safety
• Arrange coordination meeting between different depts. such as Design/MEP and Finishing to make sure that proper sequence of works are followed on site
• Make quarterly review of all reconciliations of all critical materials and take corrective actions
• Make sure that all trades are working in tandem with project planning and ensure 100% compliance with company policies
• Make proper phasing of project as per business plan of the company and accordingly prepare logistic plan for the project and update these at regular intervals
• Keep tight control on water/electricity consumption of the project

Safety & Quality

• Implementing HSE policies and encouraging the team to follow high standards in HSE policies.
• Deft in Technical coordination as well as establishing and maintaining quality standards as per QA/QC norms
• Implement project safety policy & project quality plan on site without any dilution with the help of Quality & Safety Manager
• Anticipate, plan and monitor all work procedure keeping safety in mind
• Maintain proper standards at labour camp and their welfare
• Review tracking of quality trends in check at regular interval

Team management
