Job summary

NTT DATA (India) is seeking a motivated Junior SCCM/Intune Engineer to join our Enterprise Endpoint Management delivery centre. You will support Windows endpoints for global clients using SCCM and Intune, under senior guidance, within IST-aligned shift windows.

You’ll gain foundational EPM skills, exposure to global delivery processes, and growth opportunities within the India EPM team at NTT DATA.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SCCM/Configuration Manager concepts and console navigation.

• Windows 10/11 desktop support fundamentals and Active Directory basics.
• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge or willingness to learn.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated Junior SCCM/Intune Engineer to join NTT DATA's India-based Enterprise Endpoint Management (EPM) Delivery Centre. This entry-level role will support the deployment and management of Windows endpoints for global enterprise clients using Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager) and Microsoft Intune, under the guidance of senior engineers. The role operates in IST-aligned shift windows supporting NTT DATA's international managed services accounts. The engineer will build foundational EPM skills, gain exposure to global delivery processes, and grow within the NTT DATA India EPM team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist senior engineers with SCCM software deployments, patch deployments, and collection management tasks for global client environments.
• Support Intune device enrollment activities including Windows Autopilot pre-staging and enrollment status troubleshooting.
• Help maintain device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and app deployments in Microsoft Intune.
• Perform basic SCCM client health checks and assist with client remediation on endpoints.
• Shadow and assist with OS deployment (OSD) task sequences and WinPE environment configuration.
• Support day-to-day endpoint monitoring activities using SCCM console and Intune portal within defined shift hours.

Patch Management Support

• Assist with patch deployment operations including software update group creation and deployment scheduling.
• Monitor patch compliance reports under supervision and escalate non-compliant endpoint issues to L2 engineers.
• Support maintenance window configuration and Software Update Point (SUP) synchronization activities.
• Help document patch exceptions and track remediation activities in the ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow or equivalent).

Operations & Ticketing

• Handle L1 endpoint management service requests and incidents within defined SLA resolution timeframes.
• Document operational steps, KB articles, and runbooks as guided by senior engineers.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 engineers with proper documentation and impact assessment.
• Follow NTT DATA's ITSM processes and client-specific escalation procedures during shift operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Basic understanding of Microsoft SCCM / Configuration Manager concepts and console navigation
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune portal and Endpoint Manager Admin Center
• Windows 10/11 desktop support fundamentals and Active Directory basics
• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge or strong willingness to learn
• Understanding of ITSM ticket management and SLA-based delivery operations
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English for global client interaction
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and collaborative team-oriented mindset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102) or actively pursuing
• Exposure to enterprise helpdesk, desktop support, or endpoint operations roles
• Familiarity with Azure AD and Microsoft 365 tenant concepts
• Prior internship or project experience in an IT services or managed services environment

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc. Computer Science or IT) or MCA from a recognised Indian university. Relevant certifications or equivalent hands- on exposure will be considered for diploma holders with strong aptitude.
