Your role

• Configuration management frameworks such as SCCM, Puppet
• Automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, PERL, Java, Javascript, etc.
• Participating in design review of new infrastructure, and new product/tool development
• Helping to develop and continuously improve performance, capacity, allocation management to meet business demands
• Working closely with engineering and system operations to make continuous improvement to production environments
• Performing administration to include installs, upgrades, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of various Operating system eco tools and components such as patches, new builds etc.
• Participating in changes to the systems from a production support perspective; owning and executing major events such Week-end maintenance schedules, Disaster Recovery tests etc.
• Providing 24/7 on-call support for after-business-hours based on a weekly rotating schedule
• VMware administrators experience with VMware vMotion and Storage vMotion, Cloud enablement tools, and VMware High Availability, VMware PowerCLI.

Your team

Infrastructure ENGOPS Engineer serves as a member of a Compute Platform team. Majority of responsibility is carrying out daily tasks with a forward looking view. Individual is expected to be proficient in one or more technologies as required. The biggest focus of this role is going to be Operational Automation and managing existing automation tools.

Your expertise

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5-10 years’ experience
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a large enterprise environment.
• Comfortable working with production environment in multiple areas of Compute technologies and demonstrate consideration of the bigger picture when identifying solutions.
• Comfortable working in an environment requiring on-call supports and occasional week-end work.
• Great analytical, problem solving, decision-making, leadership and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, PERL, Java, Javascript, etc.
• experience in system administration, networking concepts and protocols, and programming skills
• Exceptional experience with Windows/ESX operating systems
• Additional Skills Preferred:
• hands-on experience with Veritas products like Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster, Microsoft Multipathing
