Job summary

Atomic Arts India is seeking a senior compositor with 5+ years of experience in live-action compositing to join the VFX team in Mumbai. The role requires expert knowledge of Nuke, and mandatory BG prep and roto skills to deliver photorealistic composites across live-action plates.

You will collaborate closely with Lead Compositors and Supervisors to evaluate creative and technical approaches, manage complex green/blue screen composites, and ensure seamless integration of 2D/3D elements with

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in live-action compositing.
• Experience in BG Prep and Roto is mandatory.
• In-depth working knowledge and production experience with Nuke.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Compositors and Comp Supervisors to finalize VFX shots including live-action, 2D and 3D elements.
• Analyze and evaluate comp needs based on VFX briefs.
• Retiming of plates to match Reference Edits when required.
• Handle simple to complex green/blue screen composites.
• Be aware of various keying methodologies, spill suppression and edge blending.
• Integrate 2D elements like fire, smoke, snow, bullet hits, muzzle flashes, blood into live-action plates.
• Knowledge of Deep Compositing pipeline is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of color correction and grading.
• Photorealistic comp of 3D render passes into live-action plates.
• Work with Compositing Supervisor and Lead Compositor to determine creative and technical approaches.
• Familiar with 2D Tracking, Camera Tracking, 3D Projections, Color Correction, Black Levels Matching, Planar Tracking, Spline and Grid Warps, Nuke Relighting, Grain Management.
• Establish the look of Key Shots in sequences.
• Script organization and self QC the work.

Responsibilities

• Experience in BG Prep and Roto is mandatory.
• In-depth working knowledge and production experience with Nuke.

Compositors work closely with Lead Compositors and Comp Supervisors to composite the numerous elements that complete visual effects shots, including live-action, 2D, and 3D elements.

Should understand, analyze and evaluate the comp needs based on VFX Briefs.

Retime of plates to match with Reference Edits in case of requirements.

Should be able to handle simple to complex green/blue screen comps.

Should be aware of different keying methodologies, spill suppression, and edge blending.

Integrating 2D elements like fire, smoke, snow, bullet hits, muzzle flashes, blood, etc into the live-action plate as per high-end visual effects film standards.

Knowledge ofDeep Compositing pipeline would be great.

Excellent knowledge of CC and Grading.

Photorealistic comp of 3D(multiple) render passes into live action plates.

Working in collaboration with the Compositing Supervisor and Lead Compositor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots.
