Key Responsibilities
Core Component Design
- Design and develop core steam turbine components and Flywheels (forged, casted & fabricated) with consideration for performance, durability, cost, and ease of manufacturing and service.
- Generate and release detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Perform, fit and function studies to ensure design integrity and compatibility.
Issue Resolution
- Evaluate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and define corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing deviations and field issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a design team, ensuring high-quality output aligned with project budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, service, and other stakeholders.
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation and support technical reviews.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
- interpersonal skills, both written and verbal for the English language & Ability to work in a GLOBAL team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelors/masters degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in steam turbine design or similar rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD).
- Understanding thermodynamics and Finite element analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and SAP.
- Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, DIN).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and service engineering is a plus Multitasking & should be able to work & perform under time pressure.
