Job summary

OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a candidate with 2–4 years in electronics components to manage BoMs, lifecycle and supplier data. You will scrub BoMs, analyze costs, and assist with RFQ processes while ensuring compliance with RoHS/REACh and related regulations.

The role requires strong Excel/Access skills, effective communication, and the ability to work with ERP systems and cross-functional teams to support sourcing decisions.

Qualifications

• Engineering in E&C or Diploma E&C with relevant training.
• 2–4 years of related experience in electronics sourcing/PCB components.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access and databases; familiarity with accounting systems.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• BoM scrub, FFF alternates suggestion, lifecycle and obsolescence management.
• Identify product lifecycle, obsolete, EOL, compliance, supply-chain issues and suggest crosses.
• RoHS/REACh/Conflict minerals and other chemical compliance (IMDS, PFOS, TSCA, DecaBDE).
• Recommend electrical/electronics and electro-mechanical alternates for threats.
• Review PCN/ECNs, upload BoMs to ERP systems (Navision, MS-Dynamics, SQL).
• Load BoMs to sourcing tools for RFQ and process data regularly; manage multiple quotes.
• Communicate with sales/reps for missing proposal info; maintain supplier/database reports.

Responsibilities

• Good Knowledge and working experience in all types of Component attributes / selection.
• BoM Scrub, FFF Alternates suggestion, Life-cycle and Obsolescence Management.
• Identify Product Life-cycle, Obsolete, EOL, Compliance, Supply-Chain issues and suggest crosses.
• Sound working knowledge in RoHS/REACh/Conflict Mineral and other Chemical compliance Regulations (IMDS, PFOS, TSCA, DecaBDE etc).
• Strong working experience in recommending Electrical, Electronics and Electro-Mechanical alternates for all threats.
• Review, understand and process PCN/ECNs internally.
• Uploading BoMs to our internal ERPs like Navision, MS-Dynamics (D365), SQL etc.
• Loading BoMs to Sourcing Tools like Quotewin for RFQ and process the data on regular basis. Loading BoMs to quotewin tool for RFQ request on regular basis.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively by telephone, correspondence, and in person.
• Coordinates assigned project with engineering and RFQ team to assure accurate and timely delivery.
• Manage multiple quotes simultaneously and meet expected timelines.
• Communicate with sales and reps for any missing proposal information and follow-ups.
• Prepare and maintain a database report for all suppliers/contacts and manufacturers.
• Review and analyze material costs, routings, labour, custom tooling, and all other cost aspects of quotes.
• Assist with various other duties as assigned like BOM preparation/comparisons and data management.

Qualifications

Qualification: Engineering in E & C, Diploma E& C.

Experience: 2-4 yrs

Proficient in Excel, Access and databases and accounting systems.

Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Motivated and possessing the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
