Job summary

Airbound in Bengaluru is seeking a proactive Compliance & Legal Intern to support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, legal documentation, and investor relations.

You will assist with corporate secretarial work, FEMA/RBI, US holdings, DGCA drone regulations, and drafting NDAs and contracts. This internship offers exposure across jurisdictions and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• CS Professional or LL.B. is required.
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
• Solid understanding of corporate law and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Corporate Secretarial: assist with Companies Act compliance, MCA filings, board docs, registers.
• FEMA & RBI Compliance: support reporting, ODI/FDI, RBI filings, cross-border docs.
• US Corporate Compliance: assist governance and documentation for US holding.
• Drone & Aviation Regulations: help with DGCA, Digital Sky, NOC, UAS regs.
• Legal Documentation: draft/review NDAs, contracts, MoUs, vendor agreements.
• Investors & ESOPs: assist with cap table, share issuances, financing docs.
• Policies & Compliance: draft policies, track updates, maintain calendars.

About Airbound

Our mission is to make a world where everyone has access to delivery. Where goods move as freely as information moves today.

This is possible. Today the cost of moving on a scooter is ₹2/km. That’s the cost of moving a 150kg mass from point A to B. We’re bringing that mass down to less than 5kgs, concurrently bringing the cost down to 10 paise/km. This is how we make deliveries a reality. The tech is not there. The current cost of drone delivery is ₹100/km. We need to completely redefine the way things are done here. We’re building the world’s most efficient aircraft from the ground-up, and scaling that up to beyond anything the aerospace sector has ever seen. This cannot be an iterative process. We have to tear down all conventions and build everything up from scratch.

JD: Compliance, CS & Legal Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance & Legal Intern to support our Compliance & Legal function across corporate governance, domestic and international regulatory compliance, legal documentation, and investor relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate Secretarial: Assist with Companies Act, 2013 compliance, MCA filings, Board documentation, statutory registers, share capital transactions, and corporate records




• FEMA & RBI Compliance: Support foreign investment reporting, FDI/ODI compliance, RBI filings, and cross-border investment documentation




• US Corporate Compliance: Assist with corporate governance, statutory records, board and shareholder approvals, and compliance documentation for our US holding company




• Drone & Aviation Regulations: Support regulatory compliance and documentation relating to DGCA, Digital Sky, AAI NOCs, UAS certification, and applicable drone and aviation regulations




• Legal Documentation: Draft and review NDAs, commercial agreements, MoUs, consultancy agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents




• Investors & ESOPs: Assist with investor documentation, cap table maintenance, share issuances and transfers, SAFE/financing documentation, and ESOP administration




• Policies & Compliance: Assist in drafting internal policies and SOPs, conducting legal research, tracking regulatory updates, and maintaining compliance calendars and documentation repositories

Qualifications

Must-Have

• CS Professional (Compulsory)/or LL.B.




• Basic understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance




• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and organisational skills




• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace




• High attention to detail, professional integrity, and ability to handle confidential information

Stipend: As per industry standards, commensurate with qualifications and skills

Work location: Hoskote, Bangalore (Headquarters)
