Job summary

Udacity, now an Accenture company, seeks a part-time Community Moderator in India to support scholarship communities. The role involves daily forum monitoring (at least twice daily) to keep discussions healthy, engaging, and aligned with community guidelines.

You will work remotely, across days, evenings, and weekends, coordinating with the Community Manager, handling violations, and helping increase member engagement. Strong communication and reliable internet are essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing students with non-technical support within the community.
• Organizing and maintaining the online platform by handling violation posts and ensuring guidelines are followed.
• Occasionally supporting the Community Manager with performance summaries when requested.
• Supporting forum activities and brainstorming with the Community Manager to increase engagement.
• Attending regular online meetings with Udacity representatives.
• Being responsive in group discussions with Udacity representatives.
• Ensuring all members have a fun and engaging learning environment.

Position Overview

Community Moderators help the Community Managers in moderating Udacity ’s scholarship communities. Their main objective is ensuring that the students’ online community is healthy, engaging, and that community goals are successfully met. As a Community Moderator, you are expected to monitor the forum daily, including weekends — a minimum of 2x per day, ideally several hours apart (once in the morning and once in the evening).
