We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Community Development Manager to establish and lead Community Empowerment Centres in various rural parts of Karanataka.
The centres aim to transform communities through education, skill development, value-based leadership, and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage Community Empowerment Centres.
- Conduct community needs assessments and develop action plans.
- Build strong relationships with children, youth, women, farmers, MSMEs, schools, local leaders, government departments, and CSR partners.
- Design and implement programs such as:
- After-school learning support
- Digital literacy
- Livelihood and skill development
- Women’s empowerment initiatives
- Youth leadership clubs
- Value-based education
- Farmer development programs
- MSME awareness and capacity-building
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers.
- Build partnerships with NGOs, educational institutions, corporates, and government agencies.
- Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports, case studies, and impact documentation.
- Identify funding opportunities and support CSR and grant proposals.
- Develop local leadership so that communities gradually become self-reliant.
Required Experience and Skills
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Sociology, Community Development, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in NGO, CSR, rural development, education, livelihood, or community development projects.
- Experience working with underserved rural and urban communities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Kannada and English (Hindi is an added advantage).
- Comfortable with travel between project locations.
