Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Marketing Communications Controls Professional / Lead for the Communications Controls Group (CCG) – Marketing. You will set and improve organizational objectives and ensure their consistent attainment.

Lead reviews of promotional materials for regulatory adherence, assess risk and language, and collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Audit to support timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience in asset management, controls, legal, compliance, communications review or related function.
• Good understanding of asset management and marketing communications risk.
• Familiarity with ESMA, CSSF, FCA requirements across markets.
• Excellent written and spoken communication with attention to audience and detail.
• Ability to assess risk and apply balanced judgement in materials.
• Ability to engage stakeholders across functions and locations.

As “Marketing Communications Controls Professional / Lead” within our “Communications Controls Group (CCG) – Marketing” , you will be responsible for setting and improving our organizational objectives, and ensuring their consistent accomplishment.

Job Responsibilities

• Review marketing, sales, and other promotional communications for clarity, accuracy, balance, regulatory appropriateness, and risk.
• Apply sound judgement to wording, emphasis, omissions, qualifications, tone, and context within written materials.
• Assess how communications may be understood by institutional clients, financial professionals, and (where relevant) retail audiences.
• Develop and maintain understanding of EMEA communications expectations, including ESMA, CSSF, and FCA requirements.
• Anticipate implications of adapting, translating, or re-using English-language materials across EMEA markets.
• Partner with Investment Specialists and stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Controls Management to support timely decisions.
• Challenge constructively with a focus on materiality and proportionate outcomes without adding unnecessary process burden.
• Support internal controls, procedures, and review processes for marketing and promotional communications.
• Manage reviews, queries, and tasks efficiently, escalating where complexity, judgement, or risk requires further input.
• Educate colleagues on relevant marketing regulations, internal standards, and good practice in written communications.
• Improve efficiency by applying existing processes consistently while offering practical observations to make work clearer, simpler, and less time-consuming.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in asset management, controls, legal, compliance, communications review, or a related function.
• Good understanding of asset management and the role of marketing, sales, and promotional communications.
• Familiarity with EMEA regulatory expectations, including ESMA, CSSF, and FCA requirements across multiple markets.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with close attention to language, tone, audience, and detail.
• Ability to assess risk in written materials and apply balanced, proportionate judgement.
• Confidence engaging stakeholders across functions, seniority levels, and locations.
• Ability to ask clear questions, explain issues simply, and challenge constructively.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative working style across EMEA-based and cross-location teams.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
