Job summary

CEEW (Council on Energy, Environment and Water) in New Delhi invites a three-month internship in the Outreach team's Publications, Films, and Cartoons vertical. The role blends design, editorial, and research, reporting to the Senior Communications Associate.

It is ideal for someone who enjoys moving between writing, layout, and visual storytelling. You will proofread, design covers and decks, produce infographics, and help prepare proposals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or comparable design software.
• Strong eye for visual storytelling and experience creating infographics and data-driven visuals.
• Strong written English with proven proofreading and copyediting skills.
• Familiarity with end-to-end editorial and design processes for publications.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and copyedit publications, briefs, and decks to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with editorial guidelines.
• Maintain formatting, typography, and layout consistency across documents and organise publication assets for knowledge management.
• Conceptualise and produce publication elements including covers, section dividers, editorial illustrations, infographics, and data visualisations.
• Design presentation decks and visual assets for publications and outreach, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
• Track publication timelines and liaise with designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep production on schedule.
• Research design and communications practices at peer organisations to identify trends relevant to CEEW's work.
• Assist in preparing communication proposals, concept notes, and drafts for internal and external stakeholders.
• Synthesize findings on how audiences engage with policy and environmental communication to inform creative decisions.

It works across energy transitions, power markets, industrial sustainability, clean air, sustainable water, climate resilience, and related environmental and development topics, with a focus on India and emerging economies globally.

The role

This three-month internship sits within the Outreach team's Publications, Films, and Cartoons vertical. The intern reports to the Senior Communications Associate (Publications, Films, and Cartoons) and supports the creation of institutional knowledge products — from research briefs and reports to presentation decks and visual assets. The role combines design, editorial, and research work, making it suited to someone comfortable moving between all three.

What you would do

• Synthesise findings on how audiences engage with policy and environmental communication across digital, print, video, and visual formats to inform creative decisions.

Working arrangements

The role is based on-site at CEEW's office in New Delhi, India. The internship runs for three months, starting immediately.
