Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• NISM Series XVI (Commodity Derivatives) certification is mandatory.
• 2–5 years of commodity trading/desk experience.
• Experience executing trades for clients or prop trading desks.

Responsibilities

• Execute commodity trades through the dealing desk.

Job Description: Commodity Dealer / Commodity Exchange Trading Executive

Position Overview -

We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Commodity Dealer / Exchange Trading Executive to join our Commodity Desk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing trades, monitoring commodity markets, identifying trading opportunities, and providing market insights while ensuring compliance with regulatory and exchange guidelines.

Key Responsibilities -

• Execute commodity trades through the dealing desk.
• Monitor domestic and international commodity markets, analyze price movements, and identify trading opportunities.
• Develop a deep understanding of commodity products, market dynamics, and price parity between domestic and global markets.
• Identify and execute arbitrage opportunities across commodity markets and exchanges.
• Manage and monitor algorithmic trading activities and automated trading strategies.
• Stay updated with market news, economic developments, regulatory changes, and exchange circulars affecting commodity markets.
• Provide timely market updates, trading ideas, and product-related guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, exchange, and internal compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with risk management and operations teams for smooth trade execution and settlement activities.
• Work effectively in rotational morning and evening shifts as per business requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Mandatory NISM Series XVI (Commodity Derivatives Certification).
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a Commodity Trading/Commodity Dealing Desk environment.
• Hands-on experience in executing trades for clients and/or proprietary trading accounts.
• Strong understanding of commodity derivatives, futures, options, and related trading products.
• Sound knowledge of domestic and international commodity markets, including price parity concepts.
• Knowledge and practical experience in commodity arbitrage strategies.
• Experience with algorithmic trading platforms and execution of algo-based trades.
• Strong market analytical skills and awareness of current affairs impacting commodity markets.
• Familiarity with MCX, NCDEX, and other relevant exchanges and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment and work in shift-based operations.
