Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Commissioning Supervisor to join the Offshore CPX Execution team, capable of both onshore and offshore assignments. You will work with the commissioning team to complete all commissioning tasks after handover from the Installation team, ensuring safety and quality.

You will collaborate with the construction, QA/QC teams, sub-contractors and client teams, oversee commissioning activities, and take actions to comply with Vestas safety standards. Willingness to travel globally.

Qualifications

• A technical diploma/degree - e.g. electrical or electro-mechanical
• Experience from the wind industry is beneficial - e.g. with commissioning and troubleshooting
• Great skills in English language - written and spoken
• Experience working in a multicultural environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work practice by acting in compliance with Vestas HSE requirements
• Ensure own all PPE checks are done, and monthly check sheets are logged
• Responsible for carrying our NPU and Functional test on Pre-assembly site
• Daily communication with Deputy Commissioning Manager
• Execute WTG completion and start up
• Troubleshoot, operate and maintain WTGs
• Identify, register and manage deviations
• Maintain turbines and equipment
• Knowledge sharing
• Provide feedback and evaluation
• Help in onboarding new starters

The Commissioning Supervisor can be an on or offshore position. He/she will work together with one or more commissioning resources; this team is commonly known as "the commissioning team" they are tasked to complete all of the commissioning. The commissioning tasks will commence after a hand over of the WTG location from our Installation team.

The Commissioning supervisor will work conjointly with other members of the construction team, in particular the Installation team, QA/QC team as well as with sub-contractors and client construction teams, overseeing that all commissioning tasks are carried out successfully in a safe and timely manner.

He/she shall take necessary action in order to comply with Vestas safety and Quality standards.
