Job summary

ZM Digitech Communications is seeking a hands-on Commissioning Engineer with experience in testing, commissioning, and handing over Fire Protection & Fire Alarm Systems. The candidate will independently handle system testing, documentation, and client demonstrations.

The role involves loop testing, panel configuration, device programming, and preparing commissioning reports. Travel will be required to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and to demonstrate systems to clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Experience with cause and effect matrix.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Testing & commissioning of Fire Alarm Systems (Addressable & Conventional), Hydrant & Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, Gas Suppression Systems.
• Loop testing, panel configuration & device programming.
• Cause & effect testing.
• Pump flow & pressure testing.
• Coordination with consultants & contractors.
• Conduct system demonstrations & client training.
• Preparation of commissioning reports & handover documents.
• Support Fire NOC inspections.

  • Gas Suppression Systems (FM200 / NOVEC / CO)
• Loop testing, panel configuration & device programming
• Cause & Effect testing
• Pump flow & pressure testing
• Coordination with consultants & contractors
• Conduct system demonstrations & client training
• Preparation of commissioning reports & handover documents
• Support Fire NOC inspections

Compliance Knowledge

Working knowledge of:

• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
• Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
• Local Fire Authority norms
