Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer turned instructor to deliver engine maintenance training at its Customer Training Centre and customer sites across India. The role emphasizes hands-on instruction for PW1000G, V2500, and related systems, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will design and evaluate training materials, support customer inquiries, and participate in aviation skill development initiatives in the region, while adhering to EH&S policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Aircraft maintenance engineer with appropriate licensing or equivalent technical background.
• Experience in delivering instructional training and developing courseware is preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct engine maintenance training (PW1000G, V2500) to PW customers and at Customer Training Centre and on-site locations.
• Cover topics such as engine familiarity, maintenance, borescope, engine changes, FOD, and human factors.
• Contribute to aviation skill development programs and ISD-based courseware design.
• Field customer requests and coordinate with PW support personnel; uphold EH&S standards.

What You Will Do *

• Instruct commercial engine maintenance training, including PurePower Programs (PW1000G) & IAE V2500, to internal PW customers and external airline customers at the Customer Training Centre (CTC) and on-site at the customer's worldwide locations and MRO facilities.
• Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to, engine specific familiarization training, line & base maintenance, jet engine fundamentals, heavy maintenance, borescope, engine change, FOD, and human factors.
• Play a leading role in supporting aviation skill development programs to develop industry ready talent in support of government skill development initiatives in the region.
• Designing courseware in accordance with the in-house Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Process.
• Evaluating course material for content and accuracy and recording quality escapes to support CORE requirements.
• Responsible for fielding customer requests and directing customers to appropriate P&W support personnel.
• Responsible for Employee Health and Safety (EH&S).

Qualifications You Must Have *

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with B1 license endorsement (preferred) / or as Technician on any aircraft fitted with IAE V2500/PW1100G or PT-6 series or CFM -56 or Leap or GE NX engines with 5-8 years of aviation maintenance/MRO experience OR Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/ BTech) in Aeronautical / Mechanical stream with 5-8 years of aviation experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Aviation CAR145/CAR 147/CAMO experience in airframe/engines.
• 2+ years of aircraft maintenance instructional experience
• Must have the desire to be in an instruction profile, should enjoy training others
• Hunger to acquire latest know-how on aircraft engines technology and associated systems
• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated & positive personality
• Team player with enthusiasm
• Willing to explore outside his/her comfort zone
• Strong customer focus
