Job summary

Guidehouse India is seeking a Coder specialized in Orthopaedic Surgery coding to transform medical records into ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes. You will ensure timely turnaround, maintain high accuracy, and collaborate with the team and QA analysts.

The role requires 1–2 years of coding experience with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Candidates should have a life sciences or paramedical degree and familiarity with encoder tools such as 3M, Trucode, or Optum, plus basic MS Office

Qualifications

• Interpret medical records across specialties for accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.
• Strong ability to code using ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions, especially ED and Orthopaedic Surgery.
• 1–2 years of coding experience in a clinical setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transforms medical diagnoses and procedures into ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure daily coding volumes are turned around within the specified turnaround time.
• Check input volumes and create coding reports per client guidelines.
• Interact with Team Lead and Quality Analyst for feedback.
• Meet monthly targets with over 95% accuracy.
• Attend Weekly QA/Team meetings and follow information security policies.
