Job summary

USV is seeking an experienced operator to set up, run, and clean fully automated coating lines for tablet coatings, including enteric coatings. The role requires working with PLC/HMI panels to adjust process parameters and ensure compliance with BMR and cGMP.

Candidate should have 4–10 years in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing, with a diploma or ITI in engineering. This is a hands-on, on-site position in a highly controlled manufacturing area.

• Perform recipes selection and adjust spray rate, bed temp, and pan speed via PLC/HMI.
• Maintain batch records, conduct quality checks, and ensure cGMP compliance.

Role & responsibilities

Key Role: Set up, operate, and clean fully automated / PLC-controlled Auto Coaters (e.g., ACG, Bohle, Glatt, Gansons) for film, sugar, and enteric coating of tablets.

• Experience Required: 4 to 10 Years in Pharmaceutical OSD (Oral Solid Dosage) manufacturing operations.
• Education: Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering OR ITI (Fitter / Machinist / Attendant Operator Chemical Plant - AOCP).
• Machine Operation: Perform recipes selection, peristaltic pump setup, spray rate adjustment, bed temperature control, and pan speed settings via PLC/HMI panels.
• Solution Preparation: Prepare polymer/enteric coating suspensions, color solutions, and lacquers strictly according to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
• Process & Parameter Control: Maintain optimum atomization air pressure, pattern air pressure, inlet/outlet air temperatures, and spray rates to prevent tablet defects (sticking, picking, erosion, twin formation).
• Quality & In-Process Checks: Conduct regular in-process quality testing including weight gain checks, disintegration testing, and visual inspection of coated tablets.
• Cleaning & Sanitation: Execute CIP/WIP (Clean-In-Place / Wash-In-Place) procedures, manual pan washing, and spray gun dismantle/cleaning between batch changes.
• cGMP & Documentation: Maintain strict online BMR documentation, equipment logbooks, line clearance protocols, and adhere to cGMP standards.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Follow safety protocols for solvent handling, explosion-proof zones, environmental safety, and maintain 5S standards in the coating area.
