Job summary

Shashwath Solution in India seeks a hands-on CNC Programmer and Operations lead to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs from blueprints or CAD models, and to set up, calibrate, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precise parts.

You will supervise a team of CNC operators and machinists, coordinate with engineering and quality control, ensure on-time production, and drive safety and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs from blueprints or CAD models.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines to produce accurate parts.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, adjust programs to maintain production.
• Conduct test runs and inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

Job description

CNC Programming & Operation:

• o Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs based on blueprints, technical drawings, or CAD models.
• o Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce accurate parts.
• o Troubleshoot machine issues, make adjustments to programs, and ensure smooth production.
• o Conduct test runs and inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• o Use advanced CNC software to generate programs (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

2. Supervision & Leadership:

• o Lead and supervise a team of CNC operators and machinists.
• o Delegate tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
• o Provide training and support to team members in CNC operations, programming, and safety protocols.

3. Quality Control & Compliance:

• o Ensure that finished products meet all quality specifications and tolerances.
• o Inspect tools, parts, and machines for wear and tear; perform routine maintenance.

• o Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, downtime, and part production.

4. Production Scheduling & Planning:

• o Collaborate with production managers to ensure efficient scheduling and the timely delivery of parts.
• o Monitor machine uptime and minimize production delays.
• o Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production demands.

5. Collaboration & Communication:

• o Work closely with engineering, design, and quality control teams to improve manufacturing processes.
• o Communicate with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and parts for production.
• o Provide regular updates to the management team on production status, issues, and solutions.
