About The Role:

The Capacity Accelerator Program (CAP) aims to transform care practices in Child Care Institutions (CCIs), by addressing the severe limitations in funding, access to expertise and contextualized support that they face.

The Cluster Manager, Capacity Accelerator Program role involves building and managing a team of 6 Embedded Managers who are working with up-to five Child Care Institutions each. The Cluster Manager is responsible for ensuring that gold-standard care practices are being incorporated across these CCIs. It also involves working with our in-house Academy Team to enable this.

Through the role, Managers develop a working knowledge of all domains that impact adult outcomes for children and organizational sustainability such as - healthcare, education, mental health, life skills, fundraising, staff development etc. They also develop expertise in programme implementation, operational planning, people management and co-ordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the program across 30 CCIs across Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad & Kochi.
• Lead a team of Embedded Managers to improve care and management practices at CCIs as per program benchmarks.
• Spend significant on-ground time in CCIs, across the cities, to develop context, provide feedback, and monitor and evaluate progress.
• Build and cultivate relationships with partner CCI leaders, staff & other stakeholders.
• Build and cultivate relationships with organizations and vendors in each city to enable or enhance the team's operations.
• Provide strategic advice and technical support to Embedded Managers for program implementation.
• Provide continuous information and feedback to the in-house Academy Team towards the improvement of SoPs, training modules etc.
• Provide training support to CCIs and facilitate the upskilling and empowerment of CCI staff and other stakeholders via workshops or other learning methods.
• Drive continuous improvement of the programme based on learnings from the ground.

Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of experience in allied sectors such as education, health etc. with a significant part of it being spent managing people, working with communities, institutions or children.
• Experience or strong interest in childcare or organizational development & transformation.
• Experience in budgeting and grant management.
• Experience in people management and leading teams.
• Experience taking decisions at a strategic level.
• Experience having led or played a critical role in an end to end project.
• Experience in facilitating training/workshops or large group conversations (in-person preferred).
• Documentation and report writing experience.
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment.
