Job summary

TekWissen India is seeking a Cloud Systems Admin Senior Specialist in Chennai for a hybrid role (4 days in office). You will respond to inquiries, troubleshoot GCP Dataflow/BigQuery, and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.

You will work on data pipelines, security configurations, and 24/7 on-call coverage; requires 7+ years and deep knowledge of GCP tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in technical support, preferably in data warehousing and cloud computing.

• Respond to customer inquiries and support tickets promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot GCP Dataflow and BigQuery issues, including SQL queries, data ingestion and exports, and security configurations.
• Escalate complex issues to senior support staff or engineering teams when needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 production support, including coverage on weekends, holidays, and outside standard business hours.

Experience Required

• Senior Specialist Exp: 7+ experience in relevant field.

Experience Preferred

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, cloud computing, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Hands-on experience building, operating, and troubleshooting batch and streaming data pipelines with Google Cloud Dataflow and Apache Beam.
• Strong SQL skills, including developing and optimizing queries, data models, and workloads in BigQuery.
• Experience with data engineering practices, including ETL/ELT, data ingestion and transformation, orchestration, batch and streaming processing, data modeling, and data quality.
• Proficiency in a data engineering programming language, such as Python or Java.
• Ability to monitor pipeline performance, reliability, data quality, and cost, and to investigate and resolve incidents.
• Experience with GCP tools and services such as Dataform, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Logging.
• Experience developing GitHub and CI/CD pipelines to deploy infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Familiarity with automated testing, documentation, and deployment practices that support maintainable data solutions.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Understanding of security, access controls, observability, and operational support standards for data platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale or business-critical data environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
