Job summary

ADM India Hub is hiring for a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure. You will lead automation efforts, drive reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on data and AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure (landing zones, application and data platforms).
• Develop plans for continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure (new services, land zones).
• Examine requests for cloud deployments and implement modifications as a team.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying enhancement opportunities across systems and processes.

Job Summary:

The Cloud Platform Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining cloud platform infrastructure in Azure. This role focuses on driving reliability and efficiency of the environment by keeping landing zones update to date and optimized. The cloud engineer will support a large-scale data center exit program, cloud native architecture application platforms, and advanced data and AI services. Reporting to the Lead Cloud Engineer, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional product teams to deliver innovative solutions, supporting company objectives. The role requires strong leadership in coordinating with stakeholders across different Global Technology Domain Areas, e.g. Data, Network, Core Infrastructure, Architecture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure -- landing zones, application and data platforms.
• Develop plans for continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure focusing on new services and opportunities to improve land zones.
• Examine incoming requests for cloud deployments. Work as team member to implement requested modifications.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying enhancement opportunities across systems and processes, prioritizing initiatives, and delegating activities
• Champion security-by-design principles for cloud deployments implementing cloud-native policies and pre-approved workload patterns
• Provide tier 2/3 support for major incidents related to cloud platforms
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and third-party vendors to evaluate, propose, and implement new standards, technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance mentorship to help other engineers transition to cloud centric environment.
• Foster continuous learning within the team and maintain personal expertise on emerging technologies to guide strategic decision-making and architectural design discussions

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 7 to 10 years of experience leading tooling and automation development and operations
• Experienced in creating business value linked technology strategies and driving strategy through implementation

Extensive experience engineering solutions to support cloud computing environments:

• AKS, ACE, ASE
• Serverless Compute
• GitHub
• Terraform/Bicep infrastructure as code
• Experience with cloud native automation and orchestration.
• Understanding of DevOps processes and Agile development cycles and experience of support Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD) platforms.

A broad knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure systems and technologies:

• IaaS Compute & Storage
• Cloud Native Networking - Firewall, Traffic Managers, API Gateways, Express Route,
• Security SIEM implementation
• PaaS DB and Managed Instance
• PaaS provisioning and configurations
• DR, BC, and HA technologies
• AD, AAD, Hybrid AAD and AAD DS
• Ability to carry out requirements analysis and create solution designs
• Strong background of working within an ITIL service management framework
• Expertise in vendor and managed service provider performance management
• Highly analytical, with the ability to analyze service delivery performance and drive improvements
• Strong team leadership and people development skills
