Job summary

Conversive (SMS Magic) seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead to drive the design, scalability, and reliability of its cloud platform.

The role blends hands-on cloud engineering with DevOps practices and SRE principles to enable teams to build and ship products faster, safer, and more efficiently. You will own highly available, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure while guiding automation, reliability, and performance decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Hands-on with IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services across compute, storage, and networking.
• Strong containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.
• Understanding of distributed systems and high availability patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of production systems.
• Drive infrastructure architecture decisions aligned with business goals.
• Manage cloud environments across development, staging, and production.
• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement cloud security best practices including IAM and network segmentation.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and optimize cloud cost, utilization, and performance.
• Implement autoscaling strategies and resource optimization.
• Improve developer productivity by building automation tools and internal platforms.
• Provide visibility into infrastructure usage, performance, and cost trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and reliable system design.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead to drive the design, scalability, and reliability of the cloud platform at Conversive (SMS Magic). This role blends hands-on cloud engineering expertise with DevOps practices and SRE principles, enabling teams to build and ship products faster, safer, and more efficiently.

You will be responsible for building and operating highly available, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure, while leading platform-level decisions around automation, reliability, performance, and scalability. This role requires both deep technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide infrastructure strategy and execution.

What will qualify you for this role?

• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering
• Deep expertise in AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and monitoring
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
• Knowledge of distributed systems and high-availability architecture patterns
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and product teams
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience managing large-scale SaaS platforms or distributed systems
• Exposure to multi-region or multi-cloud architectures
• Experience with cloud security practices, compliance frameworks, and governance models
• Familiarity with databases, caching, and messaging systems (MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Redshift, etc.)
• AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect
• Ability to drive developer productivity through automation and internal tooling

Experience Range:

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
