Role Description:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of our systems. You’ll work closely with the engineering team to deploy, manage, and maintain complex cloud environments while leveraging tools like Terraform, Ansible, and various AWS services to automate and optimize operations.

This role is based in India but focused exclusively on U.S. customers. You’ll collaborate closely with the team in the U.S., so comfort working across time zones is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFront, and more.
• Implement auto-scaling and manual scaling strategies across AWS and third-party products.
• Leverage Terraform to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in a multi-tenant environment.
• Configure infrastructure automation and configuration management with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Observability & Performance Monitoring:
• Implement logging, metrics, and tracing to provide deep insights into system performance in a multi-application environment.
• Optimize observability solutions for Java/Spring Boot, Python apps, and databases.
• High Availability & Scalability:

Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud architectures.

Optimize cost efficiency across cloud infrastructure without compromising on performance.

• Manage cloud services and applications like MongoDB, Postgres, Milvus, Redis, Kafka, etc.

• Server & Database Administration:

Administer Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and configuration.

Manage VPNs, firewalls, SSL/TLS encryption, and reverse proxies.

Set up and optimize key databases, including MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka.

Ensure smooth operation of Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle in the CI/CD pipeline.

• Scripting & Automation:

Use Bash and Python scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Build and maintain robust automation scripts for cloud operations and infrastructure management.

Required Qualifications:

Overall Experience: 10+ years in infrastructure and cloud management.

AWS Experience: 3+ years working with AWS services.

Terraform: 1+ year of hands-on experience with Terraform in a cloud environment.

Security & Networking: 5+ years working with security protocols, VPNs, firewalls, SSL/TLS, and data encryption.

Observability: 3+ years of experience with observability tools, including logging, metrics, and traces in multi-application environments.

High Availability & Auto-Scaling: 3+ years designing and implementing HA and auto-scaling solutions in cloud environments.

Server Administration: 8+ years managing Linux servers and related tools.

Scripting Skills: 5+ years of experience with Bash and 3+ years with Python in an administrative context.

Experience in a startup environment with the ability to manage high-pressure situations, multiple priorities, and short deadlines.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership and at the CXO level.

Experience managing people and teams and navigating complex diplomatic situations.
