At DXC, we continually seek high-skilled professionals with proven experience in implementing and managing complex Hybrid and Cloud technologies.
As a key project engineer, you will implement and configure cloud technologies, working with architects to code, deploy, operate, and support solutions efficiently as part of large transformation projects.
Key accountabilities
- Support migration and transformation projects on Azure and AWS by implementing solutions in collaboration with architects.
- Assist in designing migration solutions, maintain infrastructure, and provide level two and three support.
- Contribute to engineering discussions to ensure capacity is right-sized and performance optimized for migration and transformation initiatives.
- Accountable for delivering, maintaining, and optimizing Azure and AWS Infrastructure solutions to support and enable the development and operations.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
- 2+ years’ experience in Cloud Engineering roles.
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
- Public cloud IaaS and PaaS deployment models and technologies
- Network knowledge and network management experience in large-scale environments
- Highly cross-functional and able to swap and perform adjacent roles and responsibilities at short notice
- Strong relationship building and collaboration skills that drive effective constructive feedback and support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts into simple and actionable practices
- Experience on automation and IaC (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.), version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, or TFS, or Travis CI), containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift), infrastructure testing (e.g. ServerSpec), infrastructure security (e.g. OWASP ZAP), or test automation (e.g., Selenium or Gatling)
- Able to communicate fluently with all levels of staff in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
Education
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree or technical institute certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
- Professional experience and knowledge of the IT industry
- Relevant Certifications on Cloud technologies, preferably on Azure, AWS, and Terraform.
