Job summary

Priceline is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Hybrid team in Mumbai. You will help run our cloud infrastructure, work with product, engineering and security to deliver robust services, and participate in 12-factor, containerized platforms.

You have 3.6 to 6 years of experience, strong experience in public clouds (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling, with a passion for scalable, reliable systems and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3.6 to 6 years of dynamically more complex related experience.
• Experience running distributed systems in public cloud environments (GCP/AWS).
• Deep knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Knowledge of configuration management (Chef/Puppet/Ansible).
• Experience in Python, Go, Bash.
• Comfortable with Linux CLI and networking basics.
• Experience in CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Engagement with engineering and infrastructure to deliver robust, high-traffic cloud services from inception to full operation.
• Support an agile team to integrate/implement infrastructure for a 12-factor, containerized/microservice platform.
• Develop cloud-focused tooling to enable technology teams to apply cloud services.
• Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to align with enterprise standards and governance.

The Priceline Cloud Development Team is responsible for running the company's current cloud infrastructure. It works closely with members from product, engineering, support, and infrastructure teams to satisfy system needs in line with the group's technical vision and strategies.

In this role you will get to:

• Engagement with engineering and infrastructure to deliver robust, high-traffic cloud services from inception to full operation.

• Support an agile team to integrate/implement the infrastructure for a 12-factor, containerized/microservice platform.

• Engagement in the development of cloud-focused tooling to allow technology teams to apply cloud services.

• Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance processes.

• Interact in a collaborative and professional manner, with all levels of employees, vendors, and/or clients, in a team environment.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• 3.6 to 6 years of dynamically more complex related experience

• In-depth knowledge and experience with running distributed systems in public cloud environments such as GCP/AWS

• In-depth knowledge of container orchestration platforms and technologies such as Kubernetes and Istio.

• In-depth knowledge of declarative infrastructure-as-code systems such as Terraform.

• Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Chef/Puppet/Ansible.

• Experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash.

• Comfortable with Linux command line. Familiar with Linux system administration, networking, and load balancing concepts

• Experience in CICD automation using tools - GitHub and GitHub Actions.
