Job summary

Workmates Core2Cloud in Kolkata is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud architectures on AWS. You will collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps, developers, and security teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions.

The role includes IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, security, and cost optimization, plus production support and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Proficient in Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Skills in Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
• Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Networking fundamentals (VPC, DNS, Load Balancer, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, monitoring, and supporting secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.

You will work closely with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, developers, and security teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions while ensuring high availability, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization.

This role requires strong expertise in AWS cloud services, Linux/Windows administration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, cloud security, automation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, ALB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
• Configure and administer Linux and Windows servers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Implement Docker containers and Kubernetes workloads using Amazon ECS/EKS.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Perform production troubleshooting, incident response, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Implement cloud security best practices using IAM, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and CloudTrail.
• Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell, and AWS services.
• Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, scalability, availability, and cost.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
