Job summary

Vihanga Labs in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Clinical Nutritionist to perform comprehensive nutritional assessments, design brain and metabolic diet protocols, and provide counseling for adherence and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nutrition/Dietetics, with RD preferred, and 5+ years of hospital/clinic experience. Fluency in English, Hindi and Telugu is required; strong EMR documentation and inter-disciplinary collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or equivalent in Clinical Nutrition/Dietetics.
• 5+ years of clinical nutrition experience in hospital/clinic.
• RD certification preferred; neuro-nutrition interest a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Nutritional Assessments: clinical assessments, dietary recall, body composition analysis, review of metabolic biomarkers.
• Brain & Metabolic Diet Protocol Design: formulating evidence-based regimens for metabolic health and cognitive wellbeing.
• Targeted Supplementation Guidance: guidance on nutraceuticals and micronutrients with attention to medication interactions.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: partner with psychiatrists and clinical teams to align interventions with protocols.
• Patient Counseling & Behavioral Adherence: empathetic consultations, meal planning, mindful eating strategies, and adherence support.
• Clinical Documentation & Outcome Tracking: maintain EMR records and monitor anthropometric and biochemical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Nutritional Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, dietary recall, body composition analysis (BCA), and review of metabolic biomarkers (lipid profile, HbA1c, inflammatory markers, and micronutrient panels).
• Brain & Metabolic Diet Protocol Design: Formulate evidence-based dietary regimens addressing metabolic health and cognitive wellbeing.
• Targeted Supplementation Guidance: Provide evidence-informed guidance on nutraceuticals and micronutrient supplementation, verifying compatibility and avoiding interactions with psychiatric or metabolic medications.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner actively with treating psychiatrists and clinical teams to align nutritional interventions with overall clinical protocols and medication regimens.
• Patient Counseling & Behavioral Adherence: Deliver empathetic, structured consultations, offering practical meal-planning solutions, mindful eating strategies, and continuous motivational support to ensure high adherence.
• Clinical Documentation & Outcome Tracking: Maintain detailed EMR records, systematically monitoring anthropometric metrics, biochemical improvements, and functional wellness outcomes across follow-up consultations.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Education: Masters Degree (M.Sc.) or Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food & Nutrition from a recognized university. Registered Dietitian (RD) certification via the Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) is highly preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of clinical nutrition experience in a hospital, specialized outpatient center, or functional/integrative wellness clinic. Direct exposure or demonstrated interest in neuro-nutrition or nutritional psychiatry is a major plus.
• Core Expertise: In-depth understanding of nutritional biochemistries influencing systemic inflammation, neurotransmitter synthesis, mitochondrial health, and metabolic regulation.
• Language & Communication: Empathetic communication style with fluency in English, Hindi and Telugu. Able to craft practical, culturally tailored Indian diet charts.
