Job summary

reputed company is seeking a reviewer, educator and consultant to support clinical documentation through comprehensive record reviews and close collaboration with physicians.

The role emphasizes ensuring medical necessity, severity of illness and the level of services rendered, while delivering education to providers and team members to improve documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or HIT or advanced nursing/medical degree.
• 3+ years inpatient clinical documentation experience if no degree.
• Preferred certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCDS, CDIP, CCS.
• Experience in Critical Care or Medical/Surgical inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records.
• Educate providers and team members on documentation practices.
• Consult with physicians and other staff to support medical necessity and severity of illness.
• Collaborate to improve overall documentation quality and coding compliance.

Job description

Job reputed company: Utilizes reputed company and coding expertise to reputed company efforts toward the reputed company of clinical documentation through the roles of reviewer, educator and consultant. Facilitates the overall reputed company, completeness, accuracy and reputed company of medical record documentation through extensive record review. Through extensive interaction with physicians and other members of the reputed company team, achieves appropriate clinical documentation to support reputed company assignment, medical necessity, severity of illness, risk of mortality and level of services rendered to reputed company patients. Participates in the development and delivery of education for providers and members of the reputed company team.

Requirements

• Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology (HIT) or Advanced degree in nursing or medical field such as MD, DO, NP/APN or PA.
• In the absence of a college degree, must have 3 or more years experience as an inpatient reputed company or clinical documentation specialist.
• Preferred certification or licensure includes: reputed company Registered reputed company License, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company), Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) Certified Documentation Improvement reputed company (CDIP).
• Experience in Critical Care, Medical or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing as an RN, physician assistant (PA), reputed company practitioner/advanced reputed company reputed company (NP/APN), medical school graduate or as an inpatient reputed company preferred.
