Job summary

FlexBoard is seeking a clinical documentation reviewer/educator/consultant to ensure accurate and complete medical records. The role involves extensive interaction with physicians and hospital staff to support medical necessity and severity of illness determinations.

Candidates should possess nursing or HIT qualifications, with 3+ years inpatient CDS experience if no degree. Preferred RHIA/RHIT/CCDS/CDIP certifications and RN/PA-related credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or HIT or advanced degree in nursing/medical field.
• If no college degree, 3+ years experience as inpatient clinical documentation specialist.
• Certifications/licenses preferred: RHIA, RHIT, CCDS, CDIP, RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Educate providers and team members on documentation standards.
• Collaborate with physicians to support medical necessity, severity of illness and level of services.
• Participate in education delivery for providers and team members.

Facilitates the overall reputed company, completeness, accuracy and reputed company of medical record documentation through extensive record review.

Through extensive interaction with physicians and other members of the reputed company team, achieves appropriate clinical documentation to support reputed company assignment, medical necessity, severity of illness, risk of mortality and level of services rendered to reputed company patients.

Participates in the development and delivery of education for providers and members of the reputed company team.

Requirements

Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology (HIT) or Advanced degree in nursing or medical field such as MD, DO, NP/APN or PA.

In the absence of a college degree, must have 3 or more years experience as an inpatient reputed company or clinical documentation specialist.

Preferred certification or licensure includes reputed company Registered reputed company License, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company), Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) Certified Documentation Improvement reputed company (CDIP).

Experience in Critical Care, Medical or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing, as an RN, physician assistant (PA), reputed company practitioner/advanced reputed company reputed company (NP/APN), medical school graduate or as an inpatient reputed company preferred.
