Job summary
PeopleStrong in India is seeking a Clinical Assistant for the Birthing Department to support obstetric care. You will work with doctors and nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate care for antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal patients.
The role involves monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, assisting during labour and delivery, preparing patients and equipment, and maintaining clear medical records while following infection control and hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduation or an equivalent course in a relevant field.
- Experience in obstetric clinical settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors and nursing staff in providing care to antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal patients.
- Monitor and document maternal and fetal vital signs as instructed.
- Assist during labour, delivery, and obstetric procedures.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and birthing rooms as per protocols.
- Support newborn care and immediate post-delivery procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team for smooth patient care.
